MAYDAY
Oh the glorious green of emeralds - the birthstone of May, the symbol of truth and love. In Greece and Rome, emerald was said to be the purveyor of love and hope. In Egypt, the emerald was believed to be a source of eternal life. I used raw nuggets of beautiful, untreated Columbian emeralds in this piece. Wire wrapped with gold with a series of golden hearts. These open heart links are 18KT gold over bronze and fabricated in Italy.
